Toronto’s downtown Delta Hotel is in category 6 under Marriott. It costs 30k Marriott points per night or CAD$200-650 plus taxes per night. Overnight parking is CAD$30 (taxes included) and it’s a pretty good price for downtown area.Other Canada 150 Toronto Ottawa Montreal Trip Articles

About the Hotel
The hotel design is modern and contemporary. The lobby is spacious.
I got a free upgrade to a lake view room as a gold member. The room is clean but not big as you can expect in the downtown area. It has the view of Lake Ontario and a good view of fireworks at night. As it’s Canada Day, the number of visitors is three times more than usual and plus it was Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Socks, a lot of fans come from Boston. I’m very glad to have free upgrade during this peak period.
Hotel’s executive lounge is located on the 46th floor. Marriott gold and platinum members have free access. It provides light snacks and non-alcohol beverages in the morning and afternoon, and alcoholic beverages at night time. Below is the continental breakfast at the lounge. Although there are more guests after Marriott and Starwood combined, the lounge is not too crowded except in the afternoon and fireworks at night time.
Views of the lounge are very open and nice. It’s very relaxing to have breakfast facing the Lake Ontario.
Restaurant beside the lobby has full breakfast every day. Marriott gold and platinum members enjoy free full breakfast for two adults. Kids from 6-12 are half price.
After enjoying a free full American breakfast, it’s time to start a new day of adventure.
The main reason for choosing this hotel is because the Canada Day firework show. Having the great view from the 46th floor is spectacular.
I’m very satisfied with this stay. I give it 4.8 out of 5. I will consider using 30k points to book it next time for peak season as the price can be up to CAD$600 (taxes included), meaning for each Marriott point the value is 3 cent CAD. Very good way to use the Marriott point.
